This NFL Season

Well, so far in this 2009 NFL season, there has been some surprises.
First surprise...the Detroit Lions actually won a game.
Second surprise...Tennessee Titans are winless (see last post)
Thrid surprise...How well Jets rookie QB Mark Sanchez has played, but he did have a game where he threw 5 INTs.
Fourth surprise...Brett Farve is still a great QB, even at an older age (not really a shock, but I wanted to put this in here.)

Also so far this NFL season, there has been stuff that most of us thought are knew was gonna happen, like...

The Cleveland Browns still are one of the WORST teams in the NFL.
The Pittsburgh Steelers still are awesome.
and...
Tom Brady is still a whiney QB.

That is all for now, another post soon.

Tennessee Titans

So far this season, the Tennessee Titans have a record of 0-6. Last season week 16(?) the Tennessee Titans beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, and then some Titans players stepped on a Terrible Towel, and since then the Titans have not won a game (except in pre-season they were 3-2).

Pittsburgh Pirates Season In Review- 2009

The Pirates finished the 2009 MLB season with a record of 62-99.
So it is 17 consecutive years of non-playoff under .500 baseball for the Pirates.
The Pirates made some trades this year, dumb trades, but the trades are for the teams' "future"

2009 Team Leaders
HR: Garrett Jones- 21
RBI: Andy LaRoche- 64 (Wow, pathetic)
AVG: Garrett Jones- .293
At-Bats: Andy LaRoche- 524
Hits: Andy LaRoche- 135
Runs: Andrew McCutchen- 74
Doubles: Andy LaRoche- 29
Triples: Andrew McCutchen- 9
BB: Andrew McCutchen- 54
SB: Andrew McCutchen- 22
PITCHERS
Wins: Zach Duke/Ross Ohlendorf- 11
ERA: Steven Jackson- 3.14
Games: Jesse Chavez- 73
SV: Matt Capps- 27
IP: Zach Duke- 213
K: Paul Maholm- 119

Look through all of the Pirates stats for 2009, and decide who the best player on the Pirates is this year. I say Andy LaRoche.

10/2/09- Penguins vs Rangers (Season Opener)

Greatest hockey game I was ever at, and I wasnt even in the arena.
I watched this game outside the arena on the big screen.
When I got to Mellon Arena, I took a picture of the new Consol Energy Center.

After that I found my place near the big screen, I got closer to the screen than I thought I would be. Then it started to rain, and it rained for a while.

The picture above was taken by me in my poncho while the rain was comin' down.
Before the game started, the Stanley Cup banner was raised, and I got a nice picture.

The picture below is my view of the game from the outside on the screen.

The picture is the amount of Pens fans that were outside for this game.

Durin' the 1st intermission I walked over to Steelheads Wine Bar at the Marriot Hotel, to sit down amd get a drink, and on my way to the arena I took the picture below.

Yes, that is me with the Stanley Cup!
October 2nd 2009 = GREASTEST DAY EVER!
Before the game started the guys some KissFM threw some Penguins t-shirts into the outside crowd, and I caught one, the picture is below.

After the game ended they shot off fireworks like it was the 4th of July, and I walked around the arena TWICE, to look for a dropped ticket stub, I wanted to find one so bad, cause I am a ticket collector.
